Early in the morning, 5:30am!, Sina and I took a bus to a beach town outside of Danang. Danang is the original landing place of the Americans during the Vietnam War (known as the American War in Vietnam), otherwise know as China Beach. During the war it was used as an area of R&R for the American troops.
Our host is a guy named Hoa who runs Hoa's Place. He was a kid during the War and so was interesting to hear his stories during this time.
