We spent the day in a town called Phimai just north of where we were staying.  It is the site of an ancient Khmer settlement.  It was interesting going to the museum first.  One, we could learn a little about the ancient civilisation.  Two, we could see how bad the recent floods were.  The entire ground floor of the museum had been flooded.


The Phimai Historical Park was obviously what we had come to see.  As neither of us had been to any such sights in Asia it didn't disappoint.
