First Glimpse of the Himalayas!

After a night of moderate to heavy drinking our start to the day was a bit slow.  Brian made a delicious Mexican burrito brunch for which was devoured with glee.  We then headed out to Doi Phu Kla National Park, a few kilometers away on Brian's motorbike.
The drive there was very scenic.  Along the way Brian informed me that the mountains we were in is part of the Himalayan range.  I'm now happy to say I was in the Himalayas, a long time dream come true.  But the big guys still await.
I had planned to climb the highest peak in the park but disappointingly informed the peak is 60 odd kilometers away from where I was.  Never mind!
I enjoyed going on a nature trail through the park before setting up camp.
