I borrowed a bike from the hostel and cycled to a set of rapids downstream and a little beyond. The rapids weren't much to see because the water was still high. But, withstanding the butt pain, it was a pleasant ride along the road.
For lunch I ate a delicious freshwater shrimp pancake thing and some quail eggs. Very delicious.
In the evening I met Stuart and his Thai wife Nan. They live in Australia and come out to the old country once a year to look after their business affairs. Because of the flooding in Bangkok they decided to travel to the north east.
