The Plain of Scars!!!

The Plain of Jars is an amazing archaeological site.  These magnificent giant jars where made by who know and for what purpose.  I spent hours roaming around Site 2 and Site 3.  Only when the buckets of rain arrived in the late afternoon did I leave.


Why the Plain of Scars?  During the Vietnam War the Americans bombed this area intensively. It has now been cleared of UXO but the craters, what I call scars are still evident on the surrounding hill sides.  There are more than 80 jar sites in the area but only 7 have been cleared of UXO.
