Myanmar Pro Hitchhikers

Rama and I decided to take the challenge and hitch back to Mandalay.  There was no challenge in it and got there at lunchtime. 

I was dead keen to travel to a town called Myitkyina in the north of the country.  My plan was to use a combination of train and ferry for the round trip.  The plan was dashed when China Airways informed me that my air ticket out of Myanmar was non-everything.  I couldn’t change the flight and would have to forgo the purchase price.  A new ticket would cost US$ 216!  A tough choice to make at that price, especially since I already had to buy two tickets for the inbound flight.
